The Westinghouse 28,000 Peak Watt portable generator is one of the largest portable units on the residential market, sized to handle whole-home backup loads that previously required a permanently installed standby generator. With 28,000 starting watts and 19,000 running watts on gasoline, this unit can run a central AC, refrigerator, freezer, sump pump, well pump, water heater, lights and key circuits simultaneously.
The Westinghouse-engineered V-Twin OHV engine starts via push-button electric start, with a recoil-start backup. The generator’s large fuel tank delivers extended run-time at half load — up to 16 hours on a single fill — so you are not chasing fuel during a multi-day outage.
The control panel is loaded for whole-home use: 120 V household outlets, a transfer-switch-ready 120/240 V twist-lock outlet, a 50 A heavy-duty receptacle and a digital panel that displays voltage, frequency, lifetime hours and current load. Built-in surge protection and an automatic low-oil shutoff protect both the generator and connected equipment.
The full steel roll cage, oversized never-flat tires and dual ergonomic handles make moving the unit around realistic for a small team. Backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
