Yoshino B4000 SST Solid-State Portable Power Station

The Yoshino B4000 SST is one of the first consumer portable power stations to ship with solid-state battery technology in place of conventional lithium-ion or LiFePO4 cells. Solid-state cells use a solid electrolyte instead of the liquid electrolyte found in standard lithium batteries, which delivers two real-world advantages: roughly twice the energy density per pound of battery (so the unit is dramatically lighter for its capacity), and significantly improved thermal stability (much harder to enter thermal runaway).

The B4000 SST delivers a 4,000 Wh peak / 2,611 Wh continuous battery package with 4,000 W of pure sine wave AC output (8,000 W surge), enough to power most household appliances simultaneously — including high-draw items like microwaves, electric kettles and full-size power tools. The unit weighs noticeably less than a comparable LiFePO4 power station of similar capacity, making it more practical to move around the house, garage, RV or job site.

Charging is fast: up to 1,800 W from a wall outlet recharges the unit in roughly 1.5 hours, and the integrated MPPT solar controller accepts up to 1,000 W of solar input. Outputs cover 6× pure sine wave AC, 100 W USB-C PD, USB-A QC, a 12 V car port and a 30 A RV-style outlet. Yoshino backs the unit with a 5-year limited warranty.
